Nearly half (42%) said AI supports them in various tasks, while 18% admitted they couldn't manage without it. Common AI applications include summarising meetings and documents, writing emails, managing calendars, automating routine tasks, and generating reports. These uses free up time and reduce manual effort, enabling employees to be more productive across jobs.

Time Savings and Productivity Gains

Data shows that AI is helping employees save significant time. The Adecco Group reported that workers globally save about an hour each day thanks to AI tools at work. Thomson Reuters projects this could increase to 12 hours a week within five years, indicating strong potential for AI to improve work efficiency.

The Rise of Overemployment

Economic pressures have made holding multiple jobs more common. According to the survey, one in ten full-time US workers maintain more than one full-time role, with this figure rising to nearly one in eight among Gen Z employees. Official data supports this trend: over 8.2 million US workers hold multiple jobs, while Australia reports nearly a million multiple jobholders as of March 2025.
