AWS launches AI advisor tool for startup founders

Amazon Web Services introduced two AI-powered tools aimed at helping startup founders build and scale products faster. The offerings-AWS Startup Advisor and migration tooling-provide personalized guidance and reduce the friction of building on AWS.

AWS Startup Advisor is an AI assistant trained on expertise from thousands of AWS Solutions Architects and data from over 350,000 startups already running on the platform. The tool learns a startup's technology stack, business stage, and infrastructure needs to deliver tailored recommendations.

The advisor helps founders manage cloud spending, optimize service selection, and receive guidance aligned with their development goals. It adjusts recommendations as a company grows and its architecture or security requirements change.

The service is available immediately to new AWS customers at no additional cost-founders pay only for the resources they deploy.

For product teams, the advisor is particularly useful for non-technical founders building with AI for the first time. It removes guesswork from early infrastructure decisions, which often consume significant time and budget.

Migration tools cut project timelines

AWS also unveiled AI-powered migration capabilities designed to move applications, models, and infrastructure to AWS in days rather than weeks or months. The tools integrate with popular developer platforms including Kiro, Claude Code, and Cursor.

Migration complexity traditionally slows product teams trying to shift infrastructure. These tools aim to reduce both the timeline and cost associated with that work.

AWS noted that a majority of the world's top 100 startups use AI services on its platform. The company operates over 240 cloud services spanning AI, compute, databases, and security.

Startup sales through AWS Marketplace more than doubled year-over-year, suggesting founders are using the platform to reach enterprise customers and accelerate revenue growth.
