Azerbaijani Executives Showcase Bir Ecosystem at AI Conference in Las Vegas

Bir Ecosystem, the Caucasus region’s first fully integrated digital platform, was introduced at Ai4 2025 — North America’s largest artificial intelligence conference. The Azerbaijani delegation, representing PASHA Holding's innovation since 2023, included Chief Data Officer Valeh Nabiyev, Bir Ecosystem Development Head Mehdi Aslanov, Data Management Office Head Seymur Shabanli, and Analytics Head Shahriyar Mammadli.

Held annually since 2018, this year’s conference in Las Vegas gathered over 8,000 participants from 85 countries. The focus was on AI’s applications across business, ethics, education, finance, healthcare, and the public sector.

Bir Ecosystem's Approach to AI and Data Management

In his session on “Data management in the age of artificial intelligence,” Valeh Nabiyev shared Bir Ecosystem’s strategic direction. He emphasized the platform’s reliance on a clear strategy combined with a skilled team and collaboration among Azerbaijan’s leading companies.

“Our work prioritizes scalable AI transformation beyond isolated projects. We align leadership around a shared vision and principles, encouraging agile innovation,” Nabiyev explained. “We view data management not just as risk control but as the crucial bridge for fast, reliable AI deployment. This approach supports secure, sustainable AI development, from automating customer service to improving operational efficiency.”

Integrating Brands and Services for Seamless User Experience

Bir Ecosystem unites several local brands, some under PASHA Holding and others operating independently, ensuring their products work seamlessly together. The platform’s core assets include Kapital Bank (Birbank), Competo (Umico), and Pasha Pay (M10), covering retail banking, e-commerce, and payment services.

Kapital Bank stands as Azerbaijan’s largest financial institution, with a history dating back to 1874.

To expand capabilities, Bir Ecosystem integrates additional Azerbaijani brands and partners strategically with retail leader Trendyol Azerbaijan and the public transport payment card BakıKart. This integration supports:

  • QR code payments in retail and public transport
  • Credit shopping on Birmarket via Birbank
  • Installment options for Trendyol purchases using Birbank cards
  • A unified loyalty program

These services rest on four pillars: unified login, bonus, payment, and credit platform — delivering fast, secure, and cost-efficient solutions across the ecosystem.

Opportunities and Future Outlook

Participating in this prestigious global AI event allowed Bir Ecosystem’s team to network, exchange knowledge, and explore international partnerships. The platform’s integrated approach positions it well to support ongoing AI-driven innovation in Azerbaijan’s business landscape.

Executives interested in AI implementation strategies and integrated digital ecosystems may find value in following Bir Ecosystem’s progress as it scales and refines its platform.
