Crunchtime Adds Four AI Tools to Help Restaurant Managers Work Faster

Crunchtime, a software provider for restaurant operations, announced four new AI capabilities designed to reduce time managers spend on administrative work. The additions build on the company's existing AI forecasting tool, which some customers have used to reach 99% forecast accuracy.

The four new features address specific pain points: voice-based inventory counting, automated compliance verification through photo review, analysis of task completion forms to spot execution problems, and a natural language interface for answering data questions.

What each tool does

Voice-Based Inventory lets managers count stock by speaking into a mobile app instead of typing. The company says this speeds up inventory by 3-4 times. A Jersey Mike's franchisee said the approach eliminates the constant looking up and down between a screen and shelves.

Photo Intelligence automatically reviews store photos to verify they meet brand standards. Instead of having regional staff manually check images, the AI flags quality issues and compliance gaps across all submitted photos.

AI Actions scans thousands of task completion forms to identify patterns of non-compliance. Managers can see which execution problems are happening repeatedly and get recommended follow-up actions.

AI Analyst answers questions about operational data using natural language. Managers type or ask a question and receive analysis, rankings, or visualizations without building reports manually.

The underlying problem

Restaurant managers have access to plenty of data but lack time to interpret it. Many are pulled into back-office work analyzing spreadsheets instead of managing the floor and staff. Crunchtime's CEO John Raguin said the new tools aim to "free managers from the back office" so they can focus on operations and people.

The company will demonstrate these capabilities at its Live Launch Event on May 13 and at the National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago May 16-19. Early access programs are available through customer success managers.

Restaurant managers interested in AI for management decisions or exploring how AI agents and automation handle routine tasks may find these tools relevant to their operations.
