Delhi University Partners with Google Cloud to Enhance Student Skill Sets
Delhi University has launched a multi-year partnership with Google Cloud to equip students with skills in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, data analytics, and digital literacy. This initiative focuses on preparing students for a technology-driven job market by combining academic knowledge with practical experience.
The programme offers more than just technical training. Students can access industry-recognised certifications, hackathons, mentorship opportunities, startup incubation support, and specialised workshops led by Google. Campus events such as hackathons and webinars will simulate real-world problem-solving scenarios, providing hands-on learning.
Partnership in Line with NEP 2020
Registrar Dr. Vikas Gupta highlighted that this collaboration fits well with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 framework. He noted, “The pace of technology adoption is undeniable. Delhi University has introduced many courses aligned with NEP 2020, and this partnership with Google Cloud will further strengthen our offerings, focusing on future-ready skills.”
Dr. Gupta emphasized that the goal is not just improving employability but also building adaptability and confidence for students to handle changing career paths.
