Generali consolidates care operations under new Redion brand, emphasizes AI integration
Assicurazioni Generali launched Redion on Tuesday, a new brand that unifies its global Care platform by combining Europ Assistance and Generali Employee Benefits into a single operation. The company has run these divisions as an integrated entity for three years.
Antoine Parisi, current CEO of Generali CARE Hub, will lead Redion as Group CEO.
AI supports, doesn't replace, human judgment
Generali built AI and data technology into Redion's core development. The platform uses proprietary solutions to speed up service delivery and tailor experiences to individual customers. In practical terms, AI supports human decision-making in critical situations-medical repatriation, workplace injuries-without removing people from the process.
The company said the approach integrates human expertise with existing partner networks that form the foundation of its operations.
Scale and market position
Redion operates across more than 190 countries with over 12,000 employees. The platform generated EUR5.8 billion in revenue during the 2025 financial year.
Following its acquisition of Swiss Life Network in early 2026, Redion ranks first globally in employee benefits and second in global assistance and travel insurance.
Service scope
The platform serves multinationals, travel companies, financial institutions, and their customers. Services include travel insurance, medical and emergency assistance, employee protection, health and mobility solutions, and embedded insurance for financial platforms and employers.
