HTC’s VIVE Eagle AI Glasses See Strong Preorder Demand
HTC Corp.’s latest innovation, the VIVE Eagle AI glasses, launched in mid-August, is drawing significant interest from buyers. According to distributor Taiwan Mobile Co., the Black version is the most sought-after, followed by the Grey model.
The VIVE Eagle is a smart eyewear product, fully made in Taiwan, weighing less than 49 grams. It combines multiple features such as music playback, voice assistance, smart photography, videography, and photo-based translation into one seamless device.

Pricing and Availability
The glasses are available in four colors: Berry, Coffee, Grey, and Black. Preorders started on August 14, and the official launch in Taiwan is set for September 1. The retail price is NT$15,600 (approximately US$509).
Taiwan Mobile offers a monthly 5G subscription plan starting at NT$1,399, which allows customers to take the glasses home without upfront costs. Around 80 subscribers have already opted for plans priced at NT$1,399 or higher, which could increase the company's average revenue per user (ARPU).
Market Impact and Future Prospects
HTC’s VIVE Eagle AI glasses are the first AI glasses globally to support traditional Chinese and integrate mainstream AI platforms such as Google Gemini. This positions the product to deliver enhanced AI experiences to users.
While HTC has not confirmed an international release date, plans are underway to introduce the glasses to markets in Southeast Asia, the United States, and Europe.
Since the product announcement, HTC’s shares have risen nearly 65%, reflecting investor confidence driven by the strong preorder sales and positive market outlook. The launch comes at a critical time for HTC, which has faced stiff competition in the smartphone sector. The new AI glasses are expected to boost the company's revenue in the latter half of the year.
