Intruder Launches GregAI: AI-Powered Security Workflow Management

Intruder has introduced GregAI, an AI-driven security analyst currently available in beta. Unlike generic AI tools, GregAI connects directly with Intruder’s exposure management platform, offering security teams clear visibility into their infrastructure. This integration delivers precise, contextual insights that help teams manage vulnerability workflows more effectively while maintaining a strong cybersecurity posture.

Security teams often face an overwhelming volume of vulnerability data with limited resources. Manual steps such as vulnerability validation, risk assessment, and stakeholder communication consume valuable time that could otherwise be spent on remediation. GregAI speeds up these processes by combining AI capabilities with real-time platform data.

“Every minute you spend wrestling with cumbersome tools is a minute you’re not patched,” said Chris Wallis, Intruder’s CEO and founder. GregAI is built to understand your actual environment, providing actionable advice based on real vulnerabilities and infrastructure—something generic AI assistants can’t offer.

Platform-Integrated AI for Contextual Security Intelligence

What sets GregAI apart is its deep integration with Intruder’s platform. It accesses users’ security data to provide insights and recommendations that reflect their current infrastructure, latest scan results, external threat intelligence, and relevant compliance requirements.

This allows security teams to make natural language queries like, “Show me the critical vulnerabilities for our web apps and suggest which to prioritize based on exploitability and business impact.” GregAI responds with advice tailored to the organization's actual risk profile.

The AI assistant focuses on four key workflow areas that often slow down security teams:

  • Issue prioritization
  • Vulnerability validation
  • Remediation guidance
  • Executive reporting

For example, in vulnerability validation, GregAI offers step-by-step instructions specific to detected issues, such as guiding users through reproducing a SQL injection vulnerability based on their technology stack.

Automated Reporting and Remediation Guidance

One persistent challenge for security teams is communicating complex findings to stakeholders. GregAI generates executive summaries and progress reports using actual platform data. Teams can quickly respond to leadership requests like, “Summarize our current vulnerabilities and cyber hygiene progress over the past three months.”

For remediation, GregAI provides plans that reflect the user’s specific technology environment. When asked, “Provide a remediation plan tailored to our current tech stack,” the AI reviews the infrastructure and delivers relevant, actionable recommendations rather than generic advice.

The Next Step in Intruder’s AI Vision

Intruder plans to expand GregAI’s capabilities beyond its current functions. Upcoming features include enabling the AI assistant to directly execute platform actions such as launching scans, adding targets, and managing workflows through natural language commands—eliminating the need for manual navigation.

Andy Hornegold, Intruder’s vice president of product, explains, “Our goal is to empower lean security teams with a virtual security analyst.” Work is already underway on automating false positive validation and other AI-driven features that will further free up time for security professionals.

GregAI represents a practical step towards making security workflows more efficient and manageable for teams facing growing challenges with limited resources.
