M365 Copilot to Include Sales, Service and Finance Copilots at No Extra Cost in October

Sales, Service, and Finance Copilots now included with Microsoft 365 Copilot at no extra cost

Starting in October, Microsoft will include three role-based Copilots-Sales, Service, and Finance-with Microsoft 365 Copilot at no additional charge. The core M365 Copilot subscription remains $30 per user per month and brings the AI assistant to Outlook, Teams, Word, and more.

These role-based add-ons previously cost $20 per user per month on top of M365 Copilot. Microsoft said the features and capabilities remain the same for current customers. Access will be available via the Microsoft 365 Copilot Agent Store when the rollout begins next month.

What this means for Sales and Finance teams

  • Sales: Update and query CRM records directly through Copilot in your daily apps. Less tab switching, faster pipeline hygiene, and quicker follow-ups.
  • Finance: Connect to ERP and planning systems, auto-generate reconciliation reports, and accelerate close tasks and variance analysis.
  • Service: Included at no added cost for support and service operations as part of the rollout.

Budget impact

If you held back because of the extra $20 per user per month fee, that barrier is gone. For midsize and enterprise teams, the savings stack up fast while keeping the same functionality.

How to get access

  • Confirm your organization has M365 Copilot licensing in place.
  • When available, enable the Sales, Service, and Finance Copilots from the Microsoft 365 Copilot Agent Store.
  • Work with IT to connect approved CRM/ERP systems and enforce data access policies.

What's next in Microsoft's AI stack

Microsoft will reportedly integrate Anthropic's models into M365 Copilot to diversify beyond OpenAI. The company is also developing its own models, including MAI-1, which will support select Copilot features.

Quick setup checklist for Sales and Finance leaders

  • Define which CRM/ERP entities Copilot can read, write, and summarize.
  • Create prompt templates for common tasks (e.g., weekly pipeline review, reconciliation summaries, meeting prep).
  • Set guardrails for sensitive data and approvals for write-backs to source systems.
  • Track time saved: measure activity completion time before/after rollout and review monthly.
