Mark 3 Enhances Shipping Data Management with AI Operations Agent
Mark 3 International, a UK-based express parcel and freight logistics specialist, has teamed up with New York startup Dobby AI to develop an AI-driven operations agent aimed at improving shipping data management. This tool will consolidate and organise shipment data, creating a single source of accurate information for easier reconciliation.
The AI operations agent automatically gathers data from multiple channels including emails, texts, ERP, and TMS systems. By doing this, it helps streamline processes and resolves inconsistencies in shipment data, making information more accessible for Mark 3’s customers.
Improving Accuracy and Customer Experience
Matthew Ware, CEO of Mark 3, explained that the logistics industry has been slow to adopt emerging technologies. This partnership brings AI into the logistics ecosystem, providing customers with verified, accurate data throughout the shipment process. The goal is to enhance transparency and efficiency at every stage.
Mark 3 plans a phased rollout of the AI functionality. Some features are already active, with full internal implementation expected within four to six months.
About Dobby AI and the Partnership
Dobby AI was founded by Taylan Kalkavan, a former senior product manager at Dropbox, and Francesco Paduano, previously a staff engineer at Meta. Kalkavan shared that their team spent a year researching the supply chain sector, engaging with various stakeholders from manufacturers to freight forwarders.
He highlighted a common issue in supply chain tech: many solutions are developed by experts focused on narrow parts of the industry but lack strong technical execution and a holistic view. This often results in fragmented, low-quality tools that complicate workflows.
Working closely with Mark 3 allows Dobby AI to train its tool on real-world data, ensuring it addresses practical challenges effectively.
Mark 3’s Physical Expansion
- Mark 3 recently opened a 12,000 sq ft facility at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York.
- The company also plans to launch a similar facility at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) within the next 18 months.
This physical growth complements their digital innovation, positioning Mark 3 to better serve customers with improved operational capabilities.
