London-Based AI Startup Metaview Secures €30.1 Million to Improve Hiring Efficiency

Metaview, a British AI platform focused on transforming job interviews into actionable hiring insights, has raised €30.1 million in a Series B funding round. The investment aims to accelerate the development of their AI tools that support recruiters throughout the hiring process. Leading the round was GV (Google Ventures), alongside existing backers such as Plural, Vertex Ventures, Seedcamp, and others.

Co-founder and CEO Siadhal Magos explains, “We’re building the AI infrastructure that recruiting has always needed – not to remove the human touch, but to learn from their best decisions at scale.” Metaview’s approach centers on capturing and analyzing interview conversations, enabling recruiters to make more efficient and informed decisions.

From Interview to Insight

Founded in 2018 by former Uber and Palantir product and engineering leaders Siadhal Magos and Shahriar Tajbakhsh, Metaview supports hiring teams at every stage—from candidate intake to final offer. The platform converts interviews into rich, actionable data, turning interviewers into a company’s most valuable asset in the competitive talent market.

The core belief behind Metaview is that hiring conversations carry the most valuable data for evaluating candidates. Their AI tools capture and analyze this context in real time, ensuring that recruiters and hiring managers share a consistent and objective view. This approach reduces reliance on subjective impressions and scattered notes, improving the fairness and accuracy of hiring decisions.

With over three million interviews recorded, Metaview provides a foundation of high-quality insight for hiring teams to replace guesswork with evidence-based evaluation.

Trusted by Leading Companies

Metaview serves more than 2,500 customers across various industries, including Sony, Brex, Deel, ElevenLabs, Deliveroo, and KellyOCG. By automating note-taking and streamlining interview workflows, users reportedly save up to 30 minutes after each interview and as much as two hours per job post.

Shahriar Tajbakhsh, Co-founder and CTO, highlights the platform's value: “Recruitment is one of the most important levers for change, but most hiring processes still rely on vague impressions and unstructured conversations. Our technology turns interviews into intelligence, helping organizations improve hiring outcomes without requiring technical expertise.”

Addressing Challenges in Traditional Hiring

Despite its importance, hiring has largely avoided digital transformation. Common issues include unclear criteria, bias, and low accountability, often leading to decisions based on feeling rather than facts. In large organizations, these problems multiply as knowledge about what makes a great hire is scattered across interviewers without feedback loops to refine the process.

Vidu Shanmugarajah, Partner at GV, notes, “Metaview automates hiring workflows while improving decision quality—a combination that customers appreciate. Leading companies across sectors are scaling usage year after year, making Metaview a go-to AI partner for teams hiring at scale.”

Metaview’s AI Tools for Hiring

  • AI Notetaker: Automatically captures and organizes interview notes based on role, stage, and scorecard.
  • AI Reports: Customizable reporting to optimize the hiring funnel.
  • AI Answers: An on-demand assistant providing instant insights about candidates, jobs, or hiring details.
  • AI Job Posts: Generates and updates job descriptions quickly to help launch new searches in seconds.

Alan Price, Head of Recruiting at Deel, shares, “We’re now able to better understand and optimize our hiring process. Recruiters and interviewers get hours back each week, allowing them to fully focus on candidates.”
