NTUC LearningHub Launches Leadership Academy to Build Human-Centric Leaders in an AI-Driven Future
SINGAPORE, Jan. 29, 2026 - NTUC LearningHub (NTUC LHUB) has launched the NTUC LHUB Leadership Academy, with Mrs Josephine Teo, Minister for Digital Development and Information, officiating at the NTUC LearningHub Human+ Symposium - Future Forward: Powered by People, Accelerated by AI.
The Academy centres leadership development on human skills - the cognitive, emotive, and behavioural capabilities that technology can't replace. It introduces nine new courses across the leadership pipeline and expands coaching, influence, and emotional intelligence training to meet real workforce needs in an AI-led environment.
Why this matters for HR
- Communication gap: While 48% of leaders see effective communication as essential, only 27% feel they have it. Employees say emotional intelligence is the biggest shortfall in their leaders (31%).
- Compliance and fairness: Four Academy courses stack toward IHRP's Responsible People Manager Role Badge, aligned with TAFEP and IHRP rubrics to meet Workplace Fairness expectations.
- Applied learning: Courses use assessments, case studies, feedback loops, and practice to move beyond theory into on-the-job behaviours.
New identity: Human+ Championed by NTUC LearningHub
NTUC LHUB unveiled the Human+ brand to reaffirm a simple truth: tech accelerates, people advance. The "+" reflects compounding growth through skills, experiences, and clear, fair leadership.
Strategic partnerships that add depth
- Harvard Business Impact (HBI): Collaboration to power select leadership courses with global insights and practical frameworks.
- TAFEP: Partnership to boost fair employment capabilities and readiness for Workplace Fairness requirements. Learn more at TAFEP.
- Employer MoUs: Aster Chemicals and Energy, City Developments Limited, SMRT Corporation, Yayasan MENDAKI, and Resorts World Sentosa to co-develop competency frameworks and deliver targeted training.

What HR can do next
- Map roles to the three leadership bands (Lead Self, Lead Others, Lead Organisation) and prioritise courses by risk and impact.
- Close the communication and EI gap with assessment-led learning (DiSC, Genos 180°/360°) and coaching practices aligned to ICF.
- Prepare managers for the Workplace Fairness requirements with the Responsible People Manager pathway and day-to-day fair practices.
- Co-create competency frameworks with NTUC LHUB to reflect your organisation's goals, transformation roadmap, and AI adoption plans.
