Nvidia CEO outlines AI strategy and Taiwan investments at Computex
Jensen Huang will use his Computex keynote on Monday to detail Nvidia's artificial intelligence infrastructure plans and Taiwan's role in the company's supply chain strategy. The speech comes as investors scrutinize whether Nvidia can sustain growth after projecting that AI product revenue could eventually exceed $1 trillion.
Hardware announcements expected
Huang is expected to focus on next-generation AI chips, including the Vera Rubin AI computing platform and Vera CPU. The company plans to discuss expansion beyond core data center infrastructure into robotics and autonomous driving.
Computex will draw roughly 1,500 exhibitors from 33 countries. Intel and Qualcomm executives are also scheduled to speak, underscoring the competitive stakes.
Taiwan becomes central to growth plans
Last week, Huang described Taiwan as the epicenter of the AI revolution and announced Nvidia plans to invest approximately $150 billion annually on the island. The company is building a Taiwan headquarters expected to become operational by 2030, positioning it closer to manufacturing partner Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.
PC chip competition on the horizon
Nvidia is reportedly developing Arm Holdings-based PC chips, a move that would pit the company directly against Intel and Advanced Micro Devices in consumer computing. This represents a significant expansion beyond Nvidia's traditional graphics processor and AI infrastructure focus.
For executives tracking AI for Executives & Strategy, Nvidia's announcements signal where the industry sees long-term value creation. The company's Generative AI and LLM infrastructure investments will shape enterprise AI deployment decisions for years ahead.
