Pit raises $16M to replace enterprise spreadsheets with AI-built software
Stockholm-based Pit launched publicly this week with $16 million in funding led by Andreessen Horowitz. The platform builds custom software systems for enterprise operations, replacing the spreadsheets, email workflows, and disconnected SaaS tools that still power most business processes.
The company positions itself as an "AI product team as a service." Rather than offering templates or low-code tools, Pit learns how an organization actually works and builds production-grade software tailored to those workflows.
Pit consists of two components: Pit Studio, which analyzes business operations and builds systems, and Pit Cloud, which provides infrastructure with enterprise security and compliance controls. The platform is already deployed at Voi, Tre, Stena Recycling, and Kry across logistics, telecom, e-commerce, and healthcare.
Adam Jafer, CEO and co-founder, said: "For decades, enterprises have relied on software that dictates how they operate. AI now enables companies to run on systems designed around their own workflows."
The founding team came from Voi, Klarna, and iZettle. Investors include Lakestar and angels from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Deel, and Revolut, plus the Stena and Lundin families.
For operations professionals, this represents a shift in how custom software gets built. Instead of lengthy implementation projects or choosing between rigid platforms and building in-house, teams can now work with AI systems that adapt to existing processes.
