Qargo Raises US$33m to Scale AI Logistics Automation

Vendor & Supplier Management

Qargo has closed a US$33m Series B led by Sofina, with participation from Balderton Capital. The total funding now stands at US$54m, fueling European expansion and deeper automation across planning, execution, invoicing, and reporting.

The goal is simple: fewer touchpoints, faster workflows, better visibility. For carriers, forwarders, and 3PLs, that means tighter operations, stronger margins, and more reliable service.

Why this matters for transport leaders

Many fleets still run on manual workflows and fragmented tools. Qargo's AI-driven TMS automates repetitive tasks and links critical data so teams spend time on exceptions and customers instead of admin.

Qargo reports up to 30% reduction in empty running and up to 75% less time on repetitive administrative work. In practice, that unlocks hundreds of hours weekly across planning, customer service, and back-office teams.

What the platform does

Qargo's agentic AI interacts with external systems to streamline the full transport lifecycle. The platform's AI engine, Qargo Intelligence, automates planning, execution, invoicing, and reporting while improving visibility across jobs and assets.

A real-time work-sharing network gives the same transparency and control over subcontracted jobs as in-house work. That cuts manual calls and emails often required with conventional TMS setups.

Traction and momentum

"This round is a strong endorsement of our progress and our mission to modernise transport management," says Adriaan Coppens, CEO and Co-Founder of Qargo. "Since our Series A, we've grown revenue, customers and team at an exceptional pace while remaining highly capital efficient. The Series B funding allows us to continue investing and grow the team so that we can keep offering the same level of customer service."

Qargo has expanded across key European hubs and lifted its customer base from around 100 to more than 400 in a short period. For operators, the draw is automation that scales without adding headcount.

Stijn Gheyle, Chief Operating Officer at CLdN Cargo, says: "Efficiency, transparency, and flexibility are central to our customer offering. Qargo's intelligent transport management platform provides the scalability and automation we need to further enhance our multimodal services and deliver an even better experience for our customers."

Security and compliance

Qargo achieved ISO 27001 certification early and runs exclusively on Google Cloud with Cloud Armor. The company applies continuous code scanning and regular testing with in-house security specialists.

For management teams, this reduces risk and removes the need to build and maintain separate security infrastructure.

Investor viewpoint

Anthony Keusters, Principal at Sofina, notes: "Qargo's experienced team combines deep industry knowledge with strong product velocity and client centricity. This results in exceptional customer traction."

He adds: "Road transport is the backbone of Europe's economy and Qargo is delivering meaningful, measurable cost and CO₂ efficiency gains for fleets of all sizes. They are building something genuinely transformative in the transport-technology market and we are excited to back them on the journey ahead."

Manager checklist: prove value fast

  • Baseline empty miles, admin hours, on-time performance, and margin per job. Set targets for 30/60/90 days.
  • Map integrations: TMS/ERP, telematics, customer portals, rating/quoting, and invoicing. Confirm data quality owners.
  • Define automation guardrails: exception policies, approval thresholds, audit trails, and SLA escalation paths.
  • Plan change management: role impacts, training, and a pilot with clear success criteria and a weekly review cadence.
  • Track ROI drivers: hours saved, empty miles cut, dispute rate, DSO improvements, and service reliability.

What to watch next

Qargo will use the new capital to scale its team, expand across Europe, and deepen workflow automation. Expect more connectors, stronger optimisation, and broader customer references across segments.
