Qualified Adds Video and Full-Funnel Features to Its AI ‘Superagent’ Sales Rep

Qualified.com Inc. has upgraded its AI sales development representative, turning it into a sales “superagent” with new video and full-funnel capabilities. The AI can now hold face-to-face conversations through a digital human avatar and maintain context between website visits and email interactions. This allows it to handle every stage of lead nurturing—from qualifying inbound leads to managing prospects throughout the sales funnel.

Breaking Down the Traditional Marketing Funnel

For years, the marketing funnel has been slowed by manual tasks, disconnected systems, limited human bandwidth, and missed sales opportunities. Qualified’s Chief Marketing Officer, Maura Rivera, highlighted their video avatar named “Piper” as the standout feature. Piper looks and sounds like a real person, improving engagement with prospects.

Piper’s avatar is modeled after Blake, Qualified’s top-performing sales rep. The company recorded Blake in a studio and trained the AI using a mix of sales materials and proven techniques. Customers can use Qualified’s default personas or create customized avatars through studio sessions and specialized AI training.

Early Engagement and Contextual Conversations

This AI agent now engages prospects earlier in their buying journey, unlike previous versions that focused mainly on ready-to-buy leads. Piper monitors signals of intent—like attending webinars or downloading resources—and decides when to reconnect across channels. It won’t aggressively push for meetings until it detects genuine interest.

After website conversations, Piper can generate personalized, preapproved email follow-ups. It watches visitor behavior at scale and adjusts outreach accordingly. The platform can handle hundreds of thousands of visitors simultaneously, making it effective for large enterprises.

Autonomy with Human Oversight

Piper can operate almost fully autonomously, crafting bespoke emails based on data from marketing databases. Human overseers can simulate campaigns before sending them out. The AI also supports smooth handoffs to human reps when a visitor requests it or triggers like pricing inquiries arise. It adheres to privacy regulations and avoids using identifiable personal details until an email is provided.

Integration and Customization

Currently, the service integrates directly with Salesforce CRM and connects with over 30 go-to-market and email engagement tools, including Outreach and Salesloft. It combines OpenAI’s large language models with Qualified’s proprietary training and orchestration. Customers can customize the agent’s messaging with their own content, case studies, and guidelines to ensure consistent communication.

Adoption and Pricing

More than 500 companies use the platform, reporting pipeline growth up to four times their previous results. Piper will be available as a premium feature starting this fall. Existing live-chat users will need to upgrade to Qualified’s agentic marketing plans to access Piper’s full capabilities. Video functions come with an additional cost. Pricing is based on website traffic and contact list sizes, roughly matching the cost of hiring a human sales rep.

Funding and Backing

Qualified has raised $163 million in funding, including a $95 million Series C round three years ago. Investors include Sapphire Ventures, Tiger Global Management, Norwest Venture Partners, Redpoint Ventures, and Salesforce Ventures.
