Rep AI raises $6.2 million to build unified operating system for e-commerce
Rep AI, a platform for e-commerce brands and online retailers, closed a $6.2 million funding round led by Silicon Road Ventures. Osage Venture Partners, Flashpoint Venture Capital, and Zendesk also participated in the round.
The company raised $8.2 million in Series A funding in August 2024. This new capital will fund product development, market expansion, and enterprise growth.
What the platform does
Rep AI builds what it calls a unified AI operating system for e-commerce. The platform consolidates functions that typically run on separate tools - customer behavior analysis, conversion optimization, and loyalty management.
Most e-commerce operations today run on fragmented technology stacks. Different systems handle different parts of the customer journey, creating inefficiencies and missed revenue opportunities. Rep AI's approach replaces these disconnected point solutions with an integrated platform.
The company uses what investors call "agentic AI infrastructure" - systems that can act autonomously across the customer journey rather than simply responding to specific queries.
Why operations teams should pay attention
For operations professionals, the appeal is straightforward: fewer tools to manage, simpler workflows, and measurable business outcomes. Zendesk's CTO Adrian McDermott described the value in retail terms: "A great retail experience feels like a knowledgeable sales concierge, one that asks the right questions to understand your needs."
Building that experience at scale typically requires operations teams to coordinate across multiple systems. Rep AI's unified platform reduces that coordination overhead.
Market positioning
Sid Mookerji, managing partner at Silicon Road Ventures, said brands are moving away from isolated AI tools toward integrated systems. "Brands are seeking scalable, revenue driving agentic AI infrastructure rather than isolated point solutions," he said.
Rep AI co-founder and CEO Yoav Oz said the funding validates the company's vision. "E-commerce brands are increasingly overwhelmed by disconnected technology stacks that create operational silos and missed revenue opportunities," he said.
Co-founder and CTO Shauli Mizrahi added that the company's focus remains on infrastructure that drives measurable outcomes. "Our focus has always been on building an infrastructure that drives measurable business outcomes while simplifying how brands deploy and scale AI," he said.
For operations leaders evaluating AI tools, the shift from point solutions to integrated systems represents a significant change in how vendors approach e-commerce technology. Understanding this shift - and whether it matches your organization's needs - matters for technology planning.
