Salesforce's Agentforce Drives AI Revenue to $2.9 Billion

Salesforce is betting on AI agents to reignite growth. The company's Agentforce platform generated $800 million in annual recurring revenue in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, up 169% year over year, and has crossed 29,000 deals across enterprise customers.

The broader AI strategy is working. Agentforce combined with the Data 360 platform brought in $2.9 billion in recurring revenues in the same quarter - a 200% year-over-year jump. This signals that companies are moving past pilots and deploying these tools at scale in sales, service, and marketing operations.

More than 60% of Agentforce deals came from existing Salesforce customers, showing the company's success in cross-selling AI for Customer Support and other AI Agents & Automation features to its installed base.

What This Means for Customer Support Teams

For customer support professionals, Agentforce automates routine tasks like answering common questions, routing tickets, and summarizing interactions. This frees support staff to handle complex issues that require human judgment.

Salesforce projects fiscal 2027 revenues will grow 10-11%. The Zacks Consensus Estimate forecasts 10.9% year-over-year growth, suggesting the company expects sustained demand for AI-driven service tools.

How Competitors Are Moving

Microsoft has integrated Copilot tools into Dynamics 365, allowing users to write emails, generate reports, and summarize meetings. The advantage: most companies already use Microsoft products, so adoption costs are low.

ServiceNow's Now Assist platform automates IT service management, customer support, and HR tasks. Like Salesforce, ServiceNow is building industry-specific AI tools to address different business needs.

Stock Performance and Valuation

Salesforce shares have fallen 31.3% over the past year, compared with a 14.1% decline in the broader Internet-Software industry. The stock trades at a forward price-to-earnings ratio of 13.98, well below the industry average of 24.34.

Analyst estimates for fiscal 2027 and 2028 earnings imply year-over-year increases of 4.6% and 11.9%, respectively. Estimates have been revised upward in the past 30 days.
