Shenzhen Launches Promotion for 2025 Global AI Machines and Electronics Expo
The first promotion event for the 2025 Global Artificial Intelligence Machines and Electronics Expo (AIE) took place recently in Shenzhen, a key innovation center in South China. This event gathered over 100 representatives from government bodies, industry leaders, and international trade associations.
The gathering introduced the AIE to major companies in Shenzhen and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Organizers revealed strong support policies for exhibitors and emphasized opportunities for collaboration among participants.
Event Theme and Highlights
Under the theme “Bay Area Intelligent Manufacturing, Global Sharing,” the AIE is set to join the ranks of the top three global exhibitions in this sector. The expo will feature new technologies, product launches, and discussions led by global experts and entrepreneurs on future trends.
Government Support and Subsidies
Sun Bin, deputy director of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce, discussed the challenges Chinese companies face in international exhibitions amid complex global conditions. He stressed the urgent need for market expansion and order acquisition. To support this, significant subsidies were announced:
- Industry giants can apply for up to 1,000 square meters of booth space, valued at 2.3 million yuan.
- Leading firms can receive up to 500 square meters, valued at 1.15 million yuan.
Organizers’ Perspective
Liu Ying, secretary-general of the AIE organizing committee, outlined the expo’s role in reflecting China’s growth in high-end manufacturing and the Greater Bay Area’s position as a global technology hub. The region’s innovation index has ranked second worldwide for five consecutive years.
Chai Zhengmao, director of Shenzhen’s Exhibition Industry Management Office, confirmed the city’s full support for local companies participating in the event. Shenzhen plans to coordinate production base visits and supply-demand meetings to help enterprises maximize their involvement.
Industry Feedback and Logistics
During interactive sessions, attendees from enterprises and trade associations expressed strong interest and raised practical questions about buyer invitations, visa processes, customs clearance, booth applications, association roles, and promotion coordination.
Xie Jianhua, president of the U.S.-China E-Commerce Trade Association, praised the AIE as a valuable platform for Chinese companies to build independent global channels and overcome challenges faced in overseas exhibitions. Leading companies like Baypin Group, Foxconn, Sunwoda, and Konka, along with several industry associations, confirmed their intention to participate.
For logistics, exhibitors with AIE credentials will benefit from 24-hour border access between Macao and Zhuhai, supported by frequent shuttle bus services. Sun Bin reiterated Guangdong’s commitment to providing optimal services, including streamlined visa processes.
Looking Ahead
This promotion event marks an important step in preparing for the AIE, supported by government, industry associations, and enterprises. The expo is scheduled for December 4-6, 2025, in Macao and Zhuhai. It will cover 70,000 square meters across six themed pavilions, including Intelligent Communication and IoT, as well as Intelligent Equipment and Industrial Internet, hosting approximately 1,000 exhibitors.
For professionals in hospitality and events, this expo represents a significant opportunity to engage with key players in AI and electronics manufacturing within a fast-growing global tech market. Coordinating participation and logistics now can position teams to deliver seamless experiences and capitalize on strong industry support.
