Pit Launches AI Platform to Replace Enterprise Spreadsheets and Fragmented Tools

Stockholm-based Pit announced its public launch with $16 million in funding led by Andreessen Horowitz. The platform builds custom software systems designed around how companies actually operate, replacing the spreadsheets, email inboxes, and disconnected SaaS tools that still run most enterprise operations.

The company positions itself as an "AI product team as a service." Rather than offering templates or prototypes, Pit deploys fully operational software tailored to a company's internal workflows. The platform consists of two components: Pit Studio, which learns how organizations function and builds systems to match, and Pit Cloud, which provides infrastructure with enterprise-grade security and compliance.

Pit was founded by former leaders from Voi, Klarna, and iZettle. The funding round included participation from Lakestar, the founders, and angel investors from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Deel, and Revolut, plus the Stena and Lundin families.

Already Deployed in Production Environments

The platform is running in enterprises across logistics, telecom, e-commerce, and healthcare. Current customers include Voi, Tre, Stena Recycling, and Kry.

"For decades, enterprises have relied on software that dictates how they operate," said Adam Jafer, CEO and co-founder of Pit. "AI now enables companies to run on systems designed around their own workflows."

The distinction from existing tools matters for operations teams. Low-code platforms and AI copilots typically generate prototypes or assist with individual tasks. Pit delivers complete, production-ready systems that handle core business processes end-to-end.

The company plans to use the funding to expand adoption among large enterprises looking for more flexible approaches to managing operations. For operations professionals managing multiple disconnected systems, the shift toward AI Agents & Automation represents a practical alternative to the current patchwork of tools.
