Why I Let Google Rankings Speak for My Work Instead of LinkedIn Applause

My top Google and AI rankings speak for themselves, so I don’t post them on LinkedIn. Real visibility comes from search results, not social media noise.

Why I Let Google Rankings Speak for My Work Instead of LinkedIn Applause

Why I Don’t Post My Google and AI Rankings on LinkedIn

My online magazines regularly rank at the top of Google search results and AI overview pages. For key terms like “book a fashion advertorial,” we hold the #1 spot or appear among the top results. Google Discover often pushes our articles into relevant feeds. It would be a typical moment to celebrate on LinkedIn.

Business Clichés

But instead of posting a quick self-congratulatory message filled with buzzwords and emojis, I chose not to. Why? Because LinkedIn has shifted away from meaningful connections and impact. It’s become a platform dominated by self-promotion, content anxiety, and a desperate race for relevance.

What I See in My Timeline

  • Coaches and insurers struggling to attract clients due to weak self-promotion.
  • Agency leaders who mostly share empty congratulations.
  • “Thought Leaders” recycling ChatGPT quotes and applauding each other.
  • People posting about having nothing to say but sharing it anyway.

The Real Drivers of Visibility

Google, AI systems, and organic search determine who gets seen. A top Google ranking drives more business than a thousand likes on LinkedIn. What matters is being found — not shouting the loudest in a feed.

LinkedIn and the Economy

Looking at why purchasing power is declining and real performance often goes unnoticed, LinkedIn provides some clues. While some entrepreneurs focus on building and delivering, others debate purpose versus vision in endless “feel good” posts. Some strategists campaign hard, while others chase viral selfies loaded with buzzwords. The economic slowdown isn’t a secret; it’s reflected in how time is spent on social networks.

Conclusion

I don’t share my rankings on LinkedIn—not because I want to hide them, but because they speak for themselves. If you want to find us, look where it really matters: Google and AI systems. That’s where true visibility is created.

By the way, LinkedIn has been known to delete profiles randomly. If mine were affected, it wouldn’t change much. Losing a few hundred followers of my online magazines would free up time for what really counts.
