K-12 District Sales Executive (AI Search, Workflow & Knowledge Sharing) - Remote, U.S.-Based

We're hiring experienced sales pros to lead full-cycle sales into public school districts. Preference goes to people with strong networks in Texas, Florida, the Northeast, North Central, and the West Coast.

What You'll Own
- Build and execute a territory plan to generate pipeline, secure pilots, and close district-wide contracts (mid-to-large districts).
- Leverage your existing K-12 relationships for warm intros, referrals, and quick opportunity creation.
- Run discovery, deliver demos (virtual/in-person), and present ROI tied to real district pain (inefficient approvals, siloed knowledge, admin overload).
- Work through procurement, RFPs, funding sources (state allocations, grants), and multi-stakeholder alignment.
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close with accurate CRM forecasting.
- Partner with product and marketing to sharpen messaging on semantic search, workflows, and agentic AI capabilities.
- Travel 20-50% for district meetings, conferences, and events (travel reimbursed).
- Hit or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets in a high-growth environment.

Compensation & Contract
- Base: Typically $90,000-$140,000 (experience and location dependent).
- Commission: Uncapped with accelerators. Target OTE for top performers: $200,000-$300,000+.
- Equity: Stock options with meaningful upside in a high-growth AI edtech company.
- Contract status: 1099 independent contractor.
- Travel: 20-50%, reimbursed.
You're a Fit If You Have
- 5+ years of proven B2B sales experience and 3+ years selling SaaS/edtech/technology into K-12 public school districts (enterprise preferred).
- Alternative path: Limited sales experience considered for former Texas public school executive leaders with a large, active network.
- A strong book of decision-makers (superintendents, CTOs, tech directors, procurement leaders) you can call today.
- A history of beating quota in long-cycle, consultative sales (e.g., $500K+ annual bookings).
- Working knowledge of district operations, procurement cycles, funding windows, and pain points that slow student-facing work.
- Comfort selling AI and workflow software; experience with semantic tools or automation is a plus.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Disciplined pipeline management and CRM proficiency (Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or edtech certifications are a plus.
- Ability to travel 20-50% while operating from a remote U.S. base.
