Xtelify launches an AI platform to boost telecom operations, enhance customer experience, and reduce churn. Partnering with Airtel Africa, it empowers 150,000 agents across 14 countries.

Xtelify Launches AI-Driven Software Platform for Telecom Operations
Xtelify, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bharti Airtel, has introduced an AI-driven software platform aimed at improving telecom operations globally. This platform helps telecom providers reduce operational challenges, improve customer focus, enhance user experiences, lower churn rates, and increase Average Revenue Per User (ARPU).
Partnership with Airtel Africa
As part of a multi-year, multi-million dollar agreement, Xtelify is collaborating with Airtel Africa to deliver advanced software solutions such as Data Engine, Work, and IQ. These tools will empower Airtel Africa’s 150,000 field agents across 14 countries with valuable market insights for targeted micro-strategies.
Key functions include anti-spam and anti-fraud measures that protect customers across the continent. The Xtelify IQ platform will facilitate secure, real-time customer interactions across multiple channels, improving service quality and overall customer satisfaction.
Leadership Perspectives
Jacques Barkhuizen, Group Chief Information Officer at Airtel Africa, said, “This partnership advances our goal to develop Africa’s digital future. Using Airtel’s AI platforms, which have proven effective in India, we are simplifying operations and speeding up the personalisation of customer experiences. The collaboration between Airtel Africa and Airtel India creates a strong synergy to support growth and innovation across our 14 African markets.”
Binod Srivastava, Chief Commercial Officer – Global Business at Bharti Airtel, added, “We are excited to work with Airtel Africa. Combining our Xtelify platform with their vision will accelerate digital transformation and address critical issues like spam and fraud to protect customers. We look forward to establishing a long-term partnership and setting new standards in the industry.”
Airtel Cloud: Expanding Cloud Capabilities
Alongside the AI platform, Xtelify introduced “Airtel Cloud,” a telecom-grade sovereign cloud platform capable of processing 14 billion transactions per minute. Initially developed to support Airtel’s internal operations in India, this platform is now being extended to meet the growing needs of Indian businesses.
Airtel Cloud is hosted in next-generation sustainable data centres and utilises automated resource management powered by generative AI. Backed by 300 certified cloud specialists, it offers Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and advanced connectivity options. The platform ensures secure migrations, smooth scalability, cost efficiency, and freedom from vendor lock-in.
