AI agent for bloggers
Blog Post Internal Link and Cluster Agent
Give every post relevant internal links so topic clusters are connected
What it does
A blog with 300 posts has many that nobody links to, and new posts rarely link back to older ones that would help readers. Search engines and readers both lose. This agent maps the blog. It groups posts by topic, finds orphan posts with no or few internal links, and proposes links from related posts, with the exact sentence to change. It checks that the anchor text fits the target and that the target is a good page, not a redirect or thin post. Links that point to redirected or weak pages are replaced with better targets before the edit list is final. It checks the live pages after edits. The blogger approves the edit list. Edge case: two posts compete for the same topic. The agent flags it and proposes a merge.
How it works
Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.
Read the steps as a list
- Monthly scan or new post published
- Crawl posts and read titles, text and existing links
- Group posts into topic clusters
- Find orphan posts and clusters with weak links
- Propose links with the exact sentence and anchor
- Does each target return a working, relevant page that is not a redirect? If not: Replace the target with a better page in the cluster and recheck. Back to step 4.
- Does the anchor text fit the target topic? If not: Rewrite the anchor or choose another sentence. Back to step 4.
- Blogger approves the edit listThe agent waits here for your OK.
- Apply edits as drafts and publish after approval
- Recrawl the live pages to check the links
- Cluster map and link report
How it decides
It links posts that share a topic and answer a reader's next question. It prefers targets with traffic or clear value and avoids redirected or outdated pages.
- A post with fewer than 2 inbound links is an orphan
- Maximum 5 new links per post
- Never link to a redirected, noindexed or outdated page
- Competing posts on one topic go to the blogger as a merge idea
Make it yours
Every agent is a starting point. You choose these settings for your own situation.
- Orphan cut-off (default fewer than 2 inbound links)
- Max new links per post (default 5)
- Scan frequency
- Topic clusters to focus on
- Pages excluded from linking
What keeps you in control
It always asks you first
- Blogger approves the edit list before changes go live
Hard limits
- Never publishes edits without approval
- Does not remove existing links
It stops when
- Done: no orphans and all links verified live
- Stop: the cluster has too few posts, suggest new topics
