Reader Question Topic Mining Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Readers tell you what they want to know in comments, replies and search queries, but the ideas are scattered and forgotten. Each week this agent collects questions from your comments, email replies and search data and groups them by topic. For each group, it checks whether an existing post already answers the question. If it does, it suggests a link or a refresh instead of a new post. If not, it adds a new topic to the content plan with the evidence: how many readers asked and the exact wording. It checks that each topic is not a duplicate of a planned idea. The writer approves what goes on the calendar.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

How it decides

It ranks topics by how many readers asked and how recently, and only proposes a new post when no existing post answers the question.

  • Count a topic when at least 3 readers asked
  • Suggest a refresh when the existing post is over 18 months old
  • Skip topics already on the calendar
  • Rank by asks in the last 90 days

Make it yours

Every agent is a starting point. You choose these settings for your own situation.

  • Sources to collect from
  • Minimum askers (default 3)
  • Refresh age (default 18 months)
  • Run day

What keeps you in control

It always asks you first

  • Writer approves topics before they go on the calendar

Hard limits

  • Never publishes or replies to readers
  • Strips names and emails from the topic briefs

It stops when

  • Done: topic list delivered
  • Stop: fewer than 10 new questions this week

An example run

What happensThis week the agent found 41 questions. Nine asked how to price a newsletter sponsor slot. The search of existing posts found a pricing post from 2022 that covered only blog ads, so the check failed for the sponsor question and it became a new topic with 9 asks. Six questions about email subject lines were answered by an existing post, so it suggested a link. The writer approved 3 topics.
