AI agent for freight brokers
Carrier Vetting and Onboarding Agent
Approve only carriers with active authority, adequate insurance and verified identity
What it does
Brokers need new carriers quickly, but a bad carrier can steal a load or run without insurance. This agent takes a carrier's MC or DOT number and looks up operating authority status, authority age, safety rating and registered contacts. It reads the insurance certificate, W-9 and broker-carrier agreement and compares limits, names and contacts against the rules. Cargo insurance must meet the shipper's minimum, and the broker must be certificate holder. When a document is missing or a value does not match, it requests a fix and checks again. A phone or email that differs from the registered record triggers a call-back to the registered number. Authority under 90 days goes to manager review. The broker approves every carrier before loads are tendered. Edge case: mismatched contact details mean the carrier is held until the call-back confirms it.
How it works
Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.
