AI agent for game developers

Game Economy Balance Simulation Agent

Economy changes that meet progression targets before they ship

Game Economy Balance Simulation Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Small changes to rewards or prices can quietly wreck a game's progression, and players find the exploit within days. When the designer changes rewards, prices or drop rates, this agent loads the economy config and player models, then simulates casual, regular and heavy players over several weeks of play. It tracks currency balances, time to key milestones and what each player type buys. It checks the results against design targets: unlock times, sinks matching sources and no route that skips progression. When results fail, it names the main causes, suggests a tweak and simulates again. When live telemetry exists, it compares the simulation with real player behavior to make sure the models still hold. The designer approves any change. Edge case: a new paid bundle that lets players skip a month of progress is flagged for review.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

  1. Economy values changed
  2. Load config and player models
  3. Simulate weeks of play per player type
  4. Measure balances, unlock times and sinks

How it decides

It compares simulated progression with targets and suggests the smallest change that brings it back.

  • Unlock times within 15% of target
  • Sources and sinks balanced per week
  • Pay-to-skip beyond limits is flagged

Make it yours

Every agent is a starting point. You choose these settings for your own situation.

  • Player types
  • Targets
  • Simulation length
  • Exploit checks

What keeps you in control

It always asks you first

  • Shipping economy changes

Hard limits

  • Never pushes config to live
  • Never changes prices for real money

It stops when

  • Done: targets met
  • Stop: player models outdated

An example run

What happensRaising quest gold by 20% made regular players reach level 30 gear in 9 days against a 14-day target. The check failed, so the agent suggested raising the gear cost by 25%. The next run gave 13.5 days, within the 15% band. The telemetry check showed real regular players earned 10% less than the model, so the agent re-ran with live rates: 14.8 days. The designer approved.
