AI agent for surgeons
Operative Note Completion Agent
Complete, matching operative notes on time
What it does
Operative notes must be completed quickly and include indication, findings, procedure steps, implants, estimated blood loss, specimens and complications. Gaps affect billing, implant tracking and patient safety. This agent reads the draft or dictation after each case and checks every required element. It compares implants and specimens with the OR record. Mismatches and missing items are turned into short questions for the surgeon. After the surgeon edits, it checks again. Unsigned notes get a reminder at the set hour and are reported to the department if still open after the deadline. The surgeon signs every note. Edge case: an implant recorded by the OR team but not mentioned in the note is flagged, because implant tracking and recalls depend on it.
How it works
Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.
