AI agent for farmers

Pest Scouting and Spray Decision Agent

Spray only when needed, with the right product, legally and at the right time

Pest Scouting and Spray Decision Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Good pest control starts with scouting and thresholds, not a calendar spray that costs money and builds resistance. After each scouting round, this agent reads scouting notes, trap counts, weather and disease risk models, and compares counts with economic thresholds for the crop stage. Below threshold means no spray. When a threshold is passed, it drafts a treatment option with product, rate, label limits, pre-harvest interval and a spray window with suitable wind and rain. It checks the option against the product label, buffer zones and resistance rules, so the same mode of action is not used twice in a row. If it fails, it picks another product or timing. The farmer approves every application. It then schedules a follow-up scout. Edge case: a field next to a bee yard or water body gets buffer rules applied.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

How it decides

It recommends treatment only above the economic threshold and only with products that pass label, buffer and resistance rules.

  • Below threshold means no spray
  • Same mode of action not used twice in a row
  • Buffer zones respected

Make it yours

Every agent is a starting point. You choose these settings for your own situation.

  • Thresholds by crop
  • Buffer rules
  • Resistance rules
  • Wind limits

What keeps you in control

It always asks you first

  • Every application

Hard limits

  • Never recommends off-label use
  • Never schedules contractors

It stops when

  • Done: application recorded and follow-up booked

An example run

What happensOn June 9, aphid counts in field 2 passed the threshold for the crop stage. The first product shared a mode of action with the May spray, so the rules check failed. The agent picked a product from another group and rechecked. Wind was forecast over limits on Tuesday, so it proposed Wednesday at 6 am. The farmer approved, and a follow-up scout was set for June 14.
