AI agent for speechwriters
Speech Version Control Agent
Produce one clean merged draft in which every fact still matches its source.
What it does
When five reviewers edit a speech, you end up with five versions and two people disagreeing on the same sentence. This agent collects each reviewer's comments and edits and merges them into one tracked draft. When two edits touch the same sentence in different ways, it does not choose. It lists the conflict with both versions and asks the owner of the decision. After each merge it checks every number, name and date that changed against your source sheet, and flags any that no longer match. You approve each merged version before it goes back to reviewers. Edge case: a reviewer rounds a figure from 4.7 to 5 million and the agent flags it against the source.
How it works
Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.
Read the steps as a list
- Review deadline reached
- Collect each reviewer's edits and comments
- Merge edits that do not overlap into one tracked draft
- List conflicting edits side by side
- Decision owners choose between conflicting editsThe agent waits here for your OK.
- Apply the chosen edits
- Check changed numbers, names and dates against the source sheet
- Does every changed fact still match its source? If not: List the mismatches with the source value. Back to step 3.
- Propose a corrected version of each mismatched fact
- Speechwriter approves the merged versionThe agent waits here for your OK.
- Merged draft with change log
How it decides
It merges edits that do not overlap. For overlaps it asks the decision owner. It checks changed facts against the sheet after every merge.
- Non-overlapping edits are merged automatically
- Overlapping edits always go to the decision owner
- Any changed number is checked against the source sheet
- A version is not ready while a fact mismatch is open
Make it yours
Every agent is a starting point. You choose these settings for your own situation.
- Who decides each topic
- Source sheet location
- Reviewer deadline
- Which fact types are checked (numbers, names, dates)
- Version naming style
What keeps you in control
It always asks you first
- Decisions on conflicting edits
- Each merged version before it is shared
Hard limits
- Never decides between conflicting edits
- Never deletes a reviewer's comment
- Keeps every prior version
It stops when
- Done: one merged draft with no open conflicts or mismatches
- Stop: a decision owner has not answered; the speechwriter decides
