AI agent for customer service managers
Support Conversation Promise Agent
Every promise made to a customer is tracked until there is proof it was kept.
What it does
Support agents often promise things in conversations, such as 'I'll refund you' or 'we'll call you back Friday', and nobody checks later whether it happened. Broken promises cause repeat contacts and complaints. This agent runs daily over updated conversations and extracts every explicit commitment with its due date. For each, it decides what proof would show the promise was kept, such as a refund receipt or a logged call, and looks it up in the action logs. A draft or pending action does not count. Open promises that are due become internal follow-up tasks, and the ledger updates as new evidence arrives. General reassurance like 'we're looking into it' is not counted as a promise. The team lead approves any customer message or refund. Edge case: a promise made to the wrong account is flagged for the team lead.
How it works
Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.
Read the steps as a list
- Daily run over updated conversations
- Extract explicit commitments with due dates
- Choose the proof that would show each promise was kept
- Look up action receipts
- Is there a completed receipt for the promise? If not: keep it open; create a follow-up task when due. Back to step 4.
- Update the commitment ledger
- Team lead approves customer messages or refundsThe agent waits here for your OK.
- Verified commitment ledger and open-promise list
How it decides
For each promise it picks the receipt type that would prove it and searches for it; only a completed receipt closes the promise, a draft keeps it open, and an overdue open promise becomes a follow-up task.
- What counts as a promise: explicit commitments with an action, not general reassurance.
- Kept or open: only a completed receipt closes it.
- Follow-up: create a task when the promise is due or overdue.
