Greeks options analytics MCP server

by ArtBreguez

Ask your AI for options analytics like GEX, Greeks, max pain and unusual flow on any ticker.

Flow diagram: you ask your AI “What is the max pain for SPY this Friday?”, the Greeks options analytics MCP server connects it to Greeks analytics service, and you get back max pain strike and more.

This is a helper that connects your AI assistant to Greeks, a service that runs options analytics. Once it is set up, you can just ask your assistant about gamma exposure, max pain, unusual flow or a full dashboard for a ticker, and it pulls the numbers live. It is handy for anyone who follows options and wants quick answers without clicking through a website.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to Greeks, an options analytics service, so it can look things up there for you. You ask a question, your AI passes it to this helper, and the helper fetches the answer from Greeks.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something like what is the max pain for a ticker, or show me the gamma exposure. Your AI sends that request to this helper program. The helper talks to the Greeks analytics service over the internet using your account key. Greeks runs the numbers and sends back the result. Your AI then shows it to you in the chat as a table, a list or a short summary.

What you can do with it

  • Get max pain strikes for a ticker and expiration
  • See Greeks like delta, gamma, theta and vega per contract
  • Check GEX and DEX per strike, plus the gamma flip level
  • Spot unusual options flow signals
  • Look at implied volatility skew and term structure
  • Pull a full dashboard with sentiment, expected move and top flow
  • Screen a watchlist for interesting symbols

Try asking your AI

  • “What is the max pain for SPY this Friday?”
  • “Show me the gamma exposure and gamma flip for NVDA”
  • “Any unusual options flow on TSLA today?”
  • “Give me the full overview dashboard for AAPL”

What it gives back to you

You get back numbers, tables and short written reads, depending on what you asked for. For example, max pain comes back as a strike per expiration, GEX comes back per strike with a total and a flip level, and the overview comes back as a dashboard-style summary. Your AI shows all of this right in the chat, so you can read it or ask follow-up questions.

Before you start

What you need

  • An account at greeks.pro

  • The uv tool installed if you use the uvx command, or pipx if you prefer that
  • The Claude Desktop app or another MCP client like Cursor

Good to know

Most analytics tools need a paid plan on greeks.pro, and some routes will return an error if your plan does not include them, so check the plans before relying on a tool.
