Atmospore pollen MCP server
by atmospore
Ask your AI about pollen forecasts anywhere in the world and get a clear answer in chat.

This is a small add-on that lets your AI assistant answer questions about pollen. You ask in normal words, and it looks up a seven-day forecast for whatever place you name. It is handy if you have hay fever, or if you plan outdoor time for yourself, your family, or a group.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. It cannot check today's pollen in Oslo, because it has no way to look that up. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI one new skill. This helper connects your AI to Atmospore, a pollen forecast service, so when you ask about pollen, the AI can actually go and get the numbers for you.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like what the pollen is like in a city this week. The AI passes your question to this helper, along with the place you mean. The helper talks to the Atmospore service, which has pollen forecasts covering the whole planet. Atmospore sends back the forecast, and the AI turns it into a normal sentence or a short list for you. You never have to open a website or read a table yourself.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Get a seven-day pollen forecast for any place on Earth
- See which pollen species are highest right now in a city
- Compare tree pollen and grass pollen for the same area
- Check when a specific pollen like birch is expected to peak
- Compare pollen levels between two or more cities
- Ask which pollen species the service covers
Try asking your AI
- “What's the pollen forecast for Oslo this week?”
- “Is tree or grass pollen worse in Stockholm right now?”
- “I'm allergic to birch, when is birch pollen peaking in Bergen?”
- “Compare pollen levels in London and Copenhagen today.”
What it gives back to you
You get a plain answer in the chat, usually a short list of days with the pollen level for each one. It can also give you the top species for a place, or a comparison between two cities. If you ask about a whole area, it can average the levels over a radius you choose. Everything shows up as normal text, so you can just read it.
Before you start
What you need
- A free Atmospore API key from atmospore.com/account (a kind of password for apps; the site gives you one for free, no credit card)
- Python installed on your computer, since the helper is installed with pip
- The Claude desktop app, or another AI assistant that supports MCP
Good to know
Each question uses up one of your daily Atmospore calls, and the free plan allows 100 calls a day, so a long chat about pollen can add up.
