BSVKey Inference MCP server

Let your AI buy Claude and Grok answers paid per token, settled in BSV or XRP, with no account.

This is a small helper that lets your AI assistant buy answers from Claude and Grok and pay for them by the token, using cryptocurrency instead of a subscription or a credit card. You put money into a prepaid channel once, then every question your AI asks draws down that balance. It is handy if you want to use these models inside your AI tool without signing up for an account anywhere.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to something outside the chat. This one connects your AI to the BSVKey inference gateway, a paid service that runs Claude and Grok for you. Once it is connected, you can just ask your AI a question and it will quietly pay the gateway for the answer.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI a question in your normal chat. Your AI passes the question to this helper, which sends it to the BSVKey gateway along with your prepaid channel key. The gateway runs the model, counts the tokens used, and takes that amount out of your channel balance. The answer comes back into your chat, along with a signed receipt showing what was charged. If you prefer, you can pay per call instead of prepaying, using a crypto wallet key.

What it gives back to you

You get the model's answer right in your chat, just like a normal reply. Along with it you get a signed usage receipt, and the helper checks that receipt for you, telling you whether the charge and the token count add up. You can also ask for your remaining balance, which comes back as a number. If something goes wrong, you get a short error message with a code so your AI knows what to do next.

Before you start

What you need

Node.js 18 or newer installed on your computer
A funded channel key from inference.bsvkey.com, in the form channelId:channelSecret
For per-call BSV payments: a funded BSV wallet key (WIF)
For XRP payments: a funded XRP seed from xrp.bsvkey.com/wallet, and Node 20.19 or newer

Good to know

This spends real cryptocurrency: every question costs money, and if a payment settles but the model then fails, there is no automatic refund, so you would need to email the address in the README with the transaction id.
