This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to MercadoLibre, the big online marketplace used across Latin America. Once it is set up, you can ask your AI in normal words to look up products, prices, sellers and trending searches. It is handy if you shop, sell, or research prices on MercadoLibre and want answers without clicking around the site.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to MercadoLibre, so when you ask about a product or a price, the AI can actually look it up there. You just talk normally, and the helper does the fetching behind the scenes.

What it gives back to you
You get back answers in the chat, written in normal language. That can be a list of matching products with prices, a summary of one item, a list of categories, a seller's reputation, or a converted currency amount. If you asked for trends, you get a list of what people are searching for right now. Nothing on MercadoLibre is changed by this helper; it only reads information.

- No account or API key is needed for the public features like search, items, categories and trends
