Crypto DEX Price Checker
by donnywin85
Lets your AI look up live crypto prices and liquidity across exchanges on six blockchains.

This is a helper for your AI that looks up live cryptocurrency prices on several blockchains at once. It checks the actual trading pools where people swap coins, so you see what each exchange is really quoting right now. It is handy if you follow crypto prices and want your AI to compare venues for you instead of opening ten websites.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. It cannot see live prices or open a website by itself. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill, and this one gives it a connection to live crypto trading pools. Once it is connected, you ask a question in plain words and your AI uses this helper to fetch the numbers for you.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like what a coin is trading at right now. Your AI passes that question to this helper. The helper reads the actual trading pools on blockchains like BSC, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, Avalanche and Optimism, and collects the price and the amount of money sitting in each pool. It hands the numbers back to your AI, which shows them to you in the chat, along with a note about which block of the blockchain the numbers came from.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Compare a coin's price across every exchange on one blockchain
- See how much money is in each trading pool, so you know which quotes are real
- Spot price gaps between exchanges on the same chain
- Check which blockchains and coins the service covers
- Look up how far back the price history goes before you ask for it
- Pull a price history series for one coin pair over a chosen window
Try asking your AI
- “What is WBNB/USDT trading at on every BSC venue right now?”
- “Show me the cross-DEX spreads on Base, are any actually capturable?”
- “How much history does this service have, and for which chains?”
- “Give me the 24 hour price series for WBTC/USDC on Polygon”
What it gives back to you
You get a tidy list of prices, one row per exchange and per fee tier, plus how much money sits in each pool. It also shows the best buy and best sell price and the gap between them, with a note about the block number the numbers came from. For history questions, you get a summary of how many rows exist and over what time span, or a series of prices over time for one pair.
Before you start
What you need
- Node.js 18 or newer on your computer
- A RapidAPI key for the paid tools (a kind of password for apps; there is a free tier you can sign up for)
- An MCP client like Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Cursor
Good to know
The spreads it shows are gross, meaning before gas fees and price slippage, so they are not a profit estimate and not trading advice. It never trades or touches a wallet, it only reads market data.
Install it with your AI
Add Crypto DEX Price Checker to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Crypto DEX Price Checker, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
People who follow crypto prices and want their AI to compare exchanges and check liquidity for them without opening many tabs.
