WallStreetBets Analyst MCP server
by ferdousbhai
Lets your AI read and summarize trending WallStreetBets posts, comments, and shared links for you.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to Reddit's WallStreetBets community. Once it is set up, you can ask your AI what people are talking about there, and it will go and read the posts for you. It is handy for anyone who follows the markets and wants a quick read on the mood without scrolling Reddit all day.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to Reddit's WallStreetBets community, so it can look up posts and comments there when you ask. You stay in your normal chat window; the helper does the fetching behind the scenes.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like what is trending on WallStreetBets today. Your AI passes that request to this helper program. The helper talks to Reddit using your own Reddit app credentials, pulls recent posts that match your filters, and gathers details like top comments and shared links. Then your AI reads all of that and gives you a summary or answer back in the chat.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Find top WallStreetBets posts by upvotes, comments, and flair
- Read the top comments on a specific post
- Collect external links people are sharing in WSB discussions
- Spot stock tickers that keep coming up in recent posts
- Run a ready-made market analysis prompt from a slash command
- Ask what is moving a specific stock or the wider market
Try asking your AI
- “What are the top trending stocks on WallStreetBets today?”
- “Analyze recent WallStreetBets posts and tell me about potential market opportunities”
- “What external resources are WSB users sharing about AMD stock?”
- “Summarize the most upvoted posts from the last day and what people are saying in the comments”
What it gives back to you
You get answers in your normal chat: summaries of posts, lists of trending tickers, top comments, and links people shared. It can also show progress while it is collecting data, so you know it is working. Nothing is posted or changed on Reddit; it only reads.
Before you start
What you need
- Python 3.12 or newer
- A Reddit account and a Reddit app you create to get a client ID and client secret (these are like a username and password for apps; Reddit gives them to you for free)
- The Claude desktop app or another MCP client
Good to know
It only reads public Reddit content, but the posts and comments it summarizes are other people's opinions, not financial advice, so treat what it finds as information to check, not as a recommendation.
