OpenHire MCP server
by gzchenhao
Search live job postings from employer career sites, with real posting dates and apply links.

OpenHire is a job search helper for your AI assistant. It pulls listings straight from employers' own career pages and applicant systems, so you see the real posting date instead of a board's refreshed label. It is handy if you are hunting for roles in AI, infrastructure, self-driving or robotics, especially across the US, Europe and China.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to OpenHire's job index, which is built from employers' own career sites and hiring systems. Once it is added, you can ask for jobs in plain words and your AI will look them up for you.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like which Python roles are still open. Your AI passes that request to this helper program running on your computer. The helper looks through a downloaded index of live postings from many employers' own career sites and hiring systems. It hands back matching jobs with the employer's real posting date, how many days the role has been open, and a link to the employer's apply page. Your AI then explains the results to you in the chat.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Search live job postings by skills, role type, location or salary
- See how long each role has really been open, not a board's guess
- Get a direct link to the employer's own apply page
- Filter for remote roles or roles open in specific regions
- Search by words in the job title, like recruit or 招聘
- Set up a standing watch so new matching jobs are ready next time
Try asking your AI
- “Any senior Python roles that are actually still open? Skip the stale ones.”
- “Find remote infrastructure jobs posted in the last three weeks.”
- “Show me robotics or self-driving roles in China with a salary listed.”
- “Which of these postings have been open more than 100 days?”
What it gives back to you
You get a list of matching jobs in the chat, each with the title, company, real posting date, days open, a ghost score and an apply link. Your AI usually adds a short summary, like which ones look fresh and which have been open a long time. Nothing is submitted anywhere, and no résumé is ever sent.
Before you start
What you need
- The uv tool installed on your computer (it provides the uvx command)
- An MCP client like Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf or Cline
- About 30 MB of space for the job index, downloaded on first start
Good to know
The ghost score only measures how long a posting has been open, not whether the employer still plans to hire, so treat a high score as a reason to ask rather than a verdict.
Install it with your AI
Add OpenHire MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check OpenHire MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
Job seekers in AI, infrastructure, self-driving and robotics, plus anyone who wants fresher listings than a job board shows.
