2s.io MCP server
by 2s-io
Give your AI a huge library of lookups: weather, patents, court cases, security checks and more, paid per use.

This is a helper that connects your AI to 2s.io, an online service with hundreds of ready-made lookups. You ask a question, your AI picks the right lookup and gets real data back instead of guessing. It is handy if you often need facts about patents, laws, weather, companies, or security issues.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already learned. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an outside service. This one connects your AI to 2s.io, a big online library of data lookups. Once it is connected, your AI can go and fetch real answers from 2s.io whenever you ask.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI a question, like what the weather is in a ZIP code or whether a patent exists. Your AI sends that request to this helper, which passes it to the 2s.io service. The service runs the right lookup and sends the answer back. Your AI then shows you the result in the chat, in plain words or a short list. Each paid lookup costs a small amount of digital money, and there is a free trial call you can try first.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Look up weather for a US ZIP code
- Search patents and trademarks
- Check whether a name is on the OFAC sanctions list
- Search federal and state court cases
- Decode a vehicle VIN and find recalls
- Check a website's security headers or a CVE
- Summarize a web page or translate text
Try asking your AI
- “What is the weather in 90210 today?”
- “Search patents about neural networks and show me the first five titles.”
- “Is this company name on the OFAC sanctions list?”
- “Look up the VIN 1HGCM82633A004352 and tell me the make and model.”
What it gives back to you
You get back real answers: lists, short summaries, numbers, or single facts, depending on what you asked. For example, a patent search returns a list of titles, and a weather lookup returns the current conditions. The reply shows up right in your chat, as if your AI looked it up itself. If something changed, like a record being added, the answer reflects that change.
Before you start
What you need
- An MCP-aware app like the Claude desktop app
- Node.js 18 or newer (so the npx command can run)
- A crypto wallet with a small amount of USDC on Base or Solana for paid calls (optional, since there is a free trial)
Good to know
Paid calls spend real crypto from your wallet, and there is no spending cap by default, so set a limit if you want one.
