Eleion Scanner MCP server

by hernaninverso

Let your AI register your domains, run security scans, and read the findings for you.

Flow diagram: you ask your AI “Scan my site and show me any security problems”, the Eleion Scanner MCP server keeps repeating: prove the site is yours, start the scan, check if it is done, read the findings, and you get back A short report of what is wrong.

This is a helper that connects your AI assistant to the Eleion security scanner. Once it is set up, you can ask your AI to check one of your own websites for security problems, and it will queue the scan and bring back the results. It is handy if you look after a website but are not a security expert yourself.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI one new skill or one new connection. This helper connects your AI to Eleion, a service that scans websites for security issues. So when you ask your AI to check your site, it can actually go and do that through Eleion, instead of just talking about it.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI to look at one of your websites. The AI uses this helper to tell Eleion about your domain and gets back a small record you need to publish to prove the site is yours. Once you publish it and the AI verifies it, the AI can ask Eleion to start a scan. Eleion runs the scan on its own servers, which can take a while, so the AI checks back until it is done. Then the AI reads the findings and shows them to you.

What you can do with it

  • Register one of your own domains with Eleion
  • Get the ownership record you need to publish
  • Verify that you own the domain
  • Queue a security scan at basic, full, or deep level
  • Check whether a scan has finished
  • Read the findings with severity, CVE, and title

Try asking your AI

  • “Register example.com with Eleion and tell me what record to publish”
  • “Verify my domain now that I added the record”
  • “Start a full security scan on my verified domain”
  • “Show me the findings from my last scan, worst first”

What it gives back to you

You get back plain answers in the chat, like the record to publish, a confirmation that your domain is verified, or the status of a running scan. When a scan is done, your AI can list the findings with their severity, any CVE number, the title, and a priority. It reads like a short report you can skim, not a wall of raw data.

Before you start

What you need

  • A tenant key from scan.eleion.io (a kind of password for the Eleion scanner; the site gives you one)
  • A domain you own and can add a DNS record to
  • The Claude desktop app or another AI tool that supports MCP servers
  • Node.js installed on your computer so the npx command can run

Good to know

You can only scan domains you have registered and proven you own, and your domain details and findings are handled by the hosted Eleion service.
