Cardano MCP server
Lets your AI check your Cardano wallet, balances, handles, staking rewards and submit transactions.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to the Cardano blockchain and to your own Cardano wallet. Once it is set up, you can just ask your AI things like what your balance is or how much staking reward you have, and it will go and look it up for you. It is handy for anyone who holds ADA or Cardano tokens and wants to check or move things without clicking around a wallet app.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. It cannot see your wallet or the Cardano network. An MCP server is a small helper program you install once, which gives your AI a new skill. This particular helper gives your AI a connection to Cardano and to your wallet, so when you ask a question about your ADA, tokens, handles or staking, the AI can actually go and fetch the answer.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI a question about your Cardano wallet, like what your balance is. The AI passes that request to this helper program running on your computer. The helper talks to the Cardano network through a service called Blockfrost (or through your own Kupo and Ogmios setup), using your wallet details that stay on your machine. It brings the answer back and the AI shows it to you in plain words. If you ask it to submit a signed transaction, it signs it locally with your wallet and sends it to the network, then gives you back the transaction ID.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Check your ADA and token balances
- List all addresses in your wallet
- See which ADAHandles you own
- Check which stake pool you are delegated to and how much reward is waiting
- Look at the unspent coins (UTxOs) in your wallet
- Submit a signed Cardano transaction to the network
Try asking your AI
- “What is my ADA balance right now?”
- “How much staking reward do I have available?”
- “Which ADAHandles do I own?”
- “Submit this transaction: 84a400...”
What it gives back to you
You get answers in the chat, in plain words. For balances, you see a list of tokens with amounts, like ADA and INDY. For handles, you see your handle names such as $myhandle. For staking, you see the pool you are in and the reward amount. For transactions, you get back a transaction ID you can look up on a Cardano explorer.
Before you start
What you need
- Node.js installed on your computer (the setup command uses npm)
- A Cardano wallet seed phrase (the 12 or 24 words that recover your wallet)
- A Blockfrost Project ID, which is a free key you get by signing up at blockfrost.io
- The Claude desktop app, Claude Code, Cursor or Windsurf, whichever you use
Good to know
This helper can sign and submit real transactions with your wallet, so be careful about what you ask it to send, and keep your seed phrase private.
Install it with your AI
Add Cardano MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Cardano MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
Cardano holders, DeFi users and anyone who wants to check or move ADA and tokens by simply asking their AI instead of opening a wallet app.
