Hou Tea MCP server
Let your AI browse, recommend, and buy Chinese tea from Hou Tea using USDC.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to the Hou Tea online shop. Once it is set up, you can chat with your AI about tea and it can look up real products, suggest something that fits your mood, and even place an order. It is handy if you like Chinese tea and want your AI to do the browsing and buying legwork for you.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to the Hou Tea shop, so it can look up teas, suggest options, and start a purchase when you ask. Your AI still does the talking, but this helper does the actual looking up and ordering.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like "find me a warming tea for winter nights." The AI uses this helper to search the Hou Tea catalog and pull back real products with prices and brewing notes. If you decide to buy, the AI asks the helper for payment details, and the helper hands off the actual payment to a separate wallet helper you install. After you pay, the helper can check on your order and show your past orders. It never holds your wallet keys or signs anything itself.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Browse the Hou Tea catalog with filters like category, price, season, and brewing difficulty
- Get natural-language tea recommendations based on what you describe
- Read a deep dive on one tea, including brewing guide, story, and health info
- Compare two to four teas side by side
- Filter teas by health needs like pregnancy, insomnia, or caffeine sensitivity
- Start a USDC payment for a tea order through a wallet helper
- Check the status of an order and list your past orders
Try asking your AI
- “Recommend a warming tea for winter nights, around $30.”
- “Show me green teas under $20 that are easy to brew.”
- “Compare the first two options you suggested.”
- “I'll take the first one.”
What it gives back to you
You get back real product names, prices, and short descriptions, plus brewing notes and a recommendation when you ask for one. If you start a purchase, you see the payment details and a confirmation once it goes through. Order checks come back as a simple status and a short list of your past orders in the chat.
Before you start
What you need
- The Claude desktop app or another AI app that supports MCP helpers
- Node.js installed on your computer (the free tool that runs the helper)
- A separate wallet helper with USDC on the Base network if you want to actually buy tea
- A buyer list token from your first confirmed purchase if you want to see your order history
Good to know
It can start real USDC payments, so only ask it to buy when you mean it, and keep your wallet helper's private key safe.
