Ask your AI to check a payment counterparty before money moves, and get an allow, review, or block verdict.

Frisk is a small helper that checks whether the other side of a payment looks safe before your AI agent sends money. It looks at the address you are paying, the address the seller is asking for, the web address used, and your spending limits. It is handy for anyone building or running AI agents that pay for things on their own.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to Frisk, a payment screening service, so the AI can ask Frisk about a counterparty and get back a verdict before paying. You do not need an account or a key to start; with no setup it runs the checks on your own machine.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI to check a payment before it goes out. The AI calls this helper, and the helper runs a set of checks on the details you gave it. It looks at whether the address is well formed, whether the address the seller asked for matches the one you named, whether the web address is secure, and whether the amount fits your spending limit. Then it hands back a verdict of allow, review, or block, along with a trust score and plain reasons. Your AI reads that and decides what to do next.

What you can do with it

  • Check a payment address before sending money
  • Compare the address you named with the one the seller asked for
  • See whether the payment endpoint uses a secure connection
  • Check the amount and asset against your spending limits
  • Get a verdict of allow, review, or block with reasons
  • Spot addresses on a small built-in blocklist

What it gives back to you

You get a verdict of allow, review, or block, a trust score, and a list of reasons in plain words. In the chat it looks like a short answer with the verdict on top and the reasons below. It does not change anything on its own; it only tells you what it found.

Before you start

What you need

  • Node.js 18 or newer if you want to run it with npx
  • Nothing else for the free local mode

Good to know

The verdict is only advice and does not guarantee safety; in the free local mode the confidence is always low, and it says nothing about whether what you get back is worth the price.
