Circle Agent Stack MCP server
by kinance
Let your AI create USDC wallets, set spending limits, send stablecoins, and pay small web fees.

This is a helper that connects your AI assistant to Circle, a service for handling USDC (a digital dollar). Once it is set up, you can ask your AI in plain words to make a wallet, set a spending cap, or send USDC, and it will do it for you. It is handy for people who work with crypto payments but do not want to click through a dashboard every time.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app. This one connects your AI to Circle's Agent Stack, so it can look up wallets, move USDC, and pay small web fees when you ask. You stay in the conversation, and the helper does the clicking behind the scenes.
What this MCP server does
You type a request in your AI chat, like asking it to make a wallet or send USDC. Your AI passes that request to this helper. The helper talks to Circle through the Circle CLI, a command-line tool from Circle that is already installed on your machine. Circle does the actual work, like creating the wallet or moving the money. Then the helper sends the result back, and your AI shows it to you in the chat.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Create a new USDC wallet for an agent or project
- List your wallets and see their USDC balances
- Check one wallet's balance and its last 10 transactions
- Set a daily spending cap and a per-call cap for paid web requests
- Send USDC to another wallet address
- Pay an x402-priced web endpoint and get its response
Try asking your AI
- “Create a dev wallet called eva-treasury and show me the address”
- “List my wallets and their USDC balances”
- “Set a $5 daily cap and a $0.10 x402 cap on wallet wal_abc123”
- “Send 2 USDC from wal_abc123 to 0x1234...abcd”
- “Fetch today's BTC signal from https://signals.example.co/btc and pay up to $0.10”
What it gives back to you
You get back plain answers in the chat. For a new wallet, you see the wallet ID and address. For a balance check, you see the amount and the last few transactions. For a payment, you see the response from the endpoint plus how much USDC was paid.
Before you start
What you need
- Node.js installed on your computer
- The Circle CLI installed (npm install -g @circle-fin/circle-cli)
- A Circle account, logged in with circle login
- A Circle API key (a kind of password for apps; Circle gives you one in your account settings)
Good to know
Your Circle API key can move real money, so set a daily cap first, start with dev wallets instead of mainnet, and never share or commit your key.
