PancakeSwap PoolSpy MCP server

by kukapay

Ask your AI to list brand new PancakeSwap pools and see their tokens, volume, and value locked.

Flow diagram: you ask your AI “List new PancakeSwap pools from the last 5 minutes”, the PancakeSwap PoolSpy MCP server connects it to The Graph, and you get back list of new pools.

This is a small helper that lets your AI look up freshly created trading pools on PancakeSwap, a crypto exchange. It is handy if you follow crypto markets and want a quick list of new pools without clicking around websites. You just ask in plain words and your AI brings back the details.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to PancakeSwap pool data, so it can look up newly created pools for you when you ask. You do not need to understand how it works inside; you just talk to your AI like normal.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something like which pools were created in the last few minutes. Your AI passes that request to this helper. The helper asks The Graph, a service that reads blockchain data, for new PancakeSwap pools on BNB Smart Chain. It gets back a list with pool addresses, token pairs, creation times, and some numbers. Your AI then shows you that list right in the chat.

What you can do with it

  • List PancakeSwap pools created in the last few minutes
  • Change the time window to look back further, like the last hour
  • Limit how many pools come back so the list stays short
  • See which token pairs each new pool uses
  • Check the volume and total value locked for each pool
  • See the block number and transaction count for each pool

Try asking your AI

  • “List newly created PancakeSwap pools from the last 1 hour.”
  • “Show me PancakeSwap pools created in the last 2 minutes.”
  • “Give me the 20 newest PancakeSwap pools from the last 10 minutes.”
  • “What new PancakeSwap pools appeared in the last 5 minutes, with their volume?”

What it gives back to you

You get back a list of pools, one after another. For each pool you see the pool address, the token pair, when it was created, the block number, transaction count, volume in US dollars, and total value locked in US dollars. If something goes wrong, you get a short error message instead.

Before you start

What you need

  • Python 3.10 or newer on your computer
  • An API key from The Graph (a kind of password for apps; you get it free on their site)
  • The uv tool to install and run the server

Good to know

This only reads public blockchain data, so it does not change or spend anything, but the numbers come from a third party service and may be delayed or incomplete.
