Flow diagram: you ask your AI “Show me the top Polymarket events by volume”, the Polymarket Predictions MCP server connects it to Polymarket, and you get back A neat table of odds.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to Polymarket, a website where people bet on the outcome of future events. Once it is set up, you can just ask your AI things like "what are the odds on the next election?" and it will go fetch the numbers for you. It is handy for anyone who likes to follow news, politics, sports or crypto and wants quick odds without clicking around a website.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI one extra skill, in this case the ability to talk to Polymarket. When you ask a question, your AI quietly passes it to this helper, the helper asks Polymarket for the data, and the answer comes back into your chat. You do not need to understand how it works under the hood, you just ask in plain words.

What this MCP server does

You type a question like "show me the biggest Polymarket events right now". Your AI sends that request to this helper. The helper asks Polymarket for the matching events or markets, along with their odds, end dates and trading volume. It tidies the results into a clean table. Your AI then shows you that table in the chat, so you can read the odds at a glance.

What you can do with it

  • List the top Polymarket events sorted by trading volume
  • See the odds for each outcome in a market, like Yes at 0.30 and No at 0.70
  • Search Polymarket for events about a topic such as Bitcoin or an election
  • Filter to only open events or only closed ones
  • Look up a specific event or market by its name or ID
  • Ask for a short analysis of a market's odds, volume and possible outcomes

Try asking your AI

  • “Show me the top 5 Polymarket events by volume right now”
  • “What are the current odds on the next US presidential election?”
  • “Search Polymarket for events about Bitcoin and list the open ones”
  • “Analyze the market us-presidential-election-2024 and tell me what the odds suggest”

What it gives back to you

You get back a readable table with the event or market question, the possible outcomes, the current odds for each, the end date and the trading volume. For an analysis request, your AI also adds a short written summary of what the numbers seem to suggest. Everything shows up right in the chat, so you can copy it or ask follow-up questions.
