Uniswap PoolSpy MCP server

by kukapay

Lets your AI list brand-new Uniswap trading pools across nine blockchains, sorted by time, volume, or size.

Flow diagram: you ask your AI “What pools were created on Base in the last hour?”, the Uniswap PoolSpy MCP server connects it to Uniswap pools, and you get back list of new pools.

This is a small helper that plugs into your AI assistant and lets it look up newly created trading pools on Uniswap. Uniswap is a place where people swap crypto tokens, and every new pair of tokens gets its own 'pool'. If you follow crypto markets or write about them, this saves you from clicking around block explorers all day.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI one extra skill or connection. This one connects your AI to Uniswap pool data across nine blockchains, so when you ask about new pools, the AI can actually go and fetch the answer instead of guessing. You just ask in normal words, and the helper does the looking up.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something like 'what pools were created on Base in the last hour'. The AI passes that request to this helper. The helper asks a data service called The Graph for the newest Uniswap pools on that chain, within the time window you gave. It sorts them the way you asked, by time, number of trades, trading volume, or total money locked in the pool. Then it hands the list back to your AI, which shows it to you in the chat.

What you can do with it

  • List the newest Uniswap pools on any of nine blockchains
  • Filter pools by how recently they were created, from minutes to hours
  • Sort pools by timestamp, trade count, volume, or total value locked
  • Limit how many pools come back so the answer stays readable
  • Compare new pool activity across Ethereum, Base, Polygon, and others
  • Spot a pool's token pair, block number, and dollar figures at a glance

Try asking your AI

  • “Show me new pools on Ethereum from the last 10 minutes”
  • “List pools on Base sorted by volume, limit to 50”
  • “What pools were created on Polygon in the past hour, ordered by TVL?”
  • “Any fresh pools on Arbitrum in the last 30 minutes?”

What it gives back to you

You get a list of pools, each with its address, the two tokens in it, when it was created, the block number, how many trades it has seen, its trading volume in dollars, and how much money is locked in it. It shows up right in the chat as plain text you can read or copy. If nothing new happened in your time window, you just get an empty list.

Before you start

What you need

  • Python 3.10 or newer installed on your computer
  • The uv tool for managing Python packages (the README shows a one-line install)
  • A free API key from The Graph (a kind of password for apps; you sign up on their site and they give you one)
  • An MCP-compatible app like Claude Desktop to actually talk to it

Good to know

The data comes from a third-party service, so it can lag or miss pools, and nothing here is financial advice.
