OpenLMNP is a free, open-source accounting app for people who rent out furnished flats in France under the LMNP tax status. It handles the real regime side of things: depreciation, journal entries, the 2031 and 2033 tax forms, and the FEC export. This MCP server lets your AI assistant talk to your OpenLMNP instance so you can ask questions and get things done without clicking through every screen.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app, here to your OpenLMNP accounting. Once it is connected, the AI can look things up in your books or make changes there when you ask. You stay in the chat, and the helper does the clicking for you.

You ask your AI a question about your furnished-rental accounting, for example about a property, a year, or a tax form. The AI uses this helper, and the helper talks to your OpenLMNP instance. What it gives back to you
You get answers in the chat: lists of properties, numbers, summaries of a year, or the lines you need for a tax form. When the AI adds or changes something, it tells you what it did. For files like the FEC or a PDF tax pack, OpenLMNP prepares them and the AI points you to the download.
Before you start
What you need
- A running OpenLMNP instance (self-hosted, for example with Docker)
- An account on that instance (the first one you create becomes admin)
- Your SIREN filled in your profile if you want tax documents
- An AI assistant that supports MCP, like Claude
Good to know
This server can add or change entries in your accounting books, so review what your AI did before you rely on it, and keep backups of your OpenLMNP data.
