MRC Data MCP server

by meacheal-ai

Lets your AI look up verified Chinese apparel suppliers, fabrics and factory clusters, with checks that go beyond what suppliers claim.

Flow diagram: you ask your AI “Find denim factories in Guangdong with BSCI certification”, the MRC Data MCP server connects it to MRC Data, and you get back list of matching suppliers.

MRC Data is a helper that connects your AI assistant to a database of Chinese clothing factories, fabrics and manufacturing regions. The data comes from a research team that checks what suppliers claim against lab tests, official records and site visits. It is handy if you source clothing, fabrics or factory partners from China and want answers you can trust a bit more.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already learned. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an outside service. This one connects your AI to MRC Data, a database about Chinese apparel suppliers and fabrics. Once it is connected, your AI can look things up there and bring real records back into your conversation.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI a question in plain words, like finding a factory in Guangdong that makes denim. Your AI sends that request to the MRC Data helper. The helper looks through its records of suppliers, fabrics and industrial clusters, which are groups of factories in the same area. It brings back matching entries and shows both what the supplier said about itself and what was independently checked. You see the results in the chat, and you can ask follow-up questions.

What you can do with it

  • Search for factories by province, product type, certifications or capacity
  • Look up fabric details like weight, fiber mix and lab test results
  • Compare manufacturing clusters on things like supplier count and rent
  • See the gap between what a supplier claims and what was verified
  • Check whether a supplier meets rules for markets like the US or EU
  • Find alternative suppliers if your current one is unavailable
  • Estimate costs and get market summaries for a region

Try asking your AI

  • “Find BSCI-certified denim manufacturers in Guangdong with monthly capacity over 30,000 pieces and a verification score of at least 5 out of 8.”
  • “What is the largest knit fabric cluster in Zhejiang, and what is the average labor cost there?”
  • “Compare Humen, Shaoxing Keqiao and Haining on supplier count, average rent and main product types.”
  • “Show me cotton twill fabrics under 200 gsm where the verified weight is within 5 percent of what the supplier declared.”

What it gives back to you

You get back lists of suppliers, fabrics or clusters that match your question, with details like location, capacity, certifications and verification scores. For fabrics, you see lab-tested numbers such as weight and fiber composition next to the supplier's own claims. Some tools return comparisons, cost estimates or market summaries. All of it appears as text in your chat, and you can ask your AI to explain or narrow it down.

Before you start

What you need

  • A free API key from api.meacheal.ai/apply (a kind of password for apps; the site gives you one instantly)
  • The Claude desktop app or another AI app that supports MCP servers
  • An internet connection

Good to know

The data is research-based and meant to inform your decisions, not replace your own checks, so treat it as a strong starting point rather than a final word.

Install it with your AI

Add MRC Data MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed

You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.

Sign in to get the install prompt

Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check MRC Data MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
