TradeMemory MCP server

by mnemox-ai

Gives your AI a memory for trades, so it can recall past outcomes and record new ones.

TradeMemory is a memory helper for AI trading assistants. Normally your AI forgets everything between chats, so it keeps making the same mistakes. This server lets it remember your trades, the reasons behind them, and how they turned out.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat. It has no way to remember your past trades or look them up later. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill. This one connects your AI to TradeMemory, a local memory store for trading, so it can save what you did and remind you of it when you ask.

What this MCP server does

You tell your AI about a trade, for example what you bought, at what price, and why. The AI passes that to TradeMemory, which saves it in several memory layers at once. Later, before your next trade, you can ask what happened last time in a similar situation. TradeMemory looks through your past trades and gives back the ones that match, along with how they ended. It also keeps a tamper-evident record of every decision, including decisions not to trade.

What you can do with it

  • Record a trade with your reasoning, confidence level, and outcome
  • Recall past trades that match the current market conditions
  • Check your current confidence, drawdown, and losing streaks
  • Create a trading plan with a trigger condition and check it later
  • Run a pre-trade check that says full, reduced, or skip
  • Export an audit trail of your decisions as a file
  • Verify that a past record has not been changed

Try asking your AI

  • “Record my AAPL long at $195, earnings beat, institutional buying, high confidence.”
  • “What happened last time I bought AAPL in a similar setup?”
  • “Am I on a losing streak right now? Should I size down?”
  • “Create a plan to buy TSLA if it drops below $240 tomorrow.”

What it gives back to you

You get answers in the chat, usually as short lists or summaries. For a recall question, you see the matching past trades with their outcomes and a short note on why they matched. For a record, you get a confirmation and an ID. For an audit export, you get a file you can save.

Before you start

What you need

  • Python installed on your computer (the install page walks you through it)
  • The Claude desktop app or another AI app that supports MCP servers
  • Nothing else. No broker login, no API keys, no account.

Good to know

It only records and recalls, it never places trades or touches your money, but the records it keeps are meant to be trustworthy, so treat anything you save as permanent.
